When a star burns all its fuel it goes supernova. Oh wait, 3yo, I meant 3yo not star.

Passed out 3yo
What the product of supernova compression might look like

Having a three year old has taught me that a three year old cannot judge when they need to rest, eat, or otherwise stop running at full pace. Well, at least not before a catastrophic meltdown.

My particular kiddo has managed to reach that point about once a day for the past few days. Usually water and heat are involved and we’ve had a Hangry Supernova hit in which toddler ran out of food and upon realizing she was exhausted and could simply eat, chose instead to conduct an elaborate wailing that used up at least sixty times the energy just eating would have.

Another epic meltdown from refusing to sleep was ended with a series of screams and wails that only were about 36 times the effort required to lay down and take a 15 minute nap.

A seemingly reasonable rugrat goes from having fun into an active attempt to scream at the injustice of not everything being exactly right right at that moment. Oh, this can be easily corrected and then I can have more fun? No.

Wander over to the sippy cup of deliciousness there to refresh? Nay, nay, fight the coming of the sippy cup.

Wanting to be a rebel at an age when you’re rebelling against naps and food. Hell no we won’t rest!
