An odd seven weeks

Me, Aerin, MaggieBaby Aerin is chugging along. We’re getting sleep at night with Aerin’s schedule currently having her conk out around midnight and wake up hungry at about 6am. Times vary by about an hour.

Something I’ve noticed is if she’s on her back, flat, like we had Maggie when she was her age, Aerin is a vomiting gassy ticked off baby. I really mean it, I am so thankful that we got the Fisher-Price My Little Snugakitty Deluxe Rock N Play Sleeper. I think that and the combination of swaddling her every night to keep her from gouging her eyes out have been a contributing factor to her being somewhat reasonable.

I’m still tired. Don’t get me wrong. It’s not particularly easy.

From experience with daughter #1 I think we’ve got the diaper situation mostly in control. That realization is that newborn diaper suck, and a baby at an incline like in the Snugakitty doesn’t have poop slide up their back. Once again, points¬†Fisher-Price My Little Snugakitty Deluxe Rock N Play Sleeper. Poop has an obscenely hard time flowing up.

Maggie’s hit the terrible twos. One time she just started screaming in her room after waking up. Nothing was doable to calm her. It’s odd because when she’s not screaming at the top of her lungs, she’s bright, inquisitive, interested in things. When she gets mad there’s no grading to it, it’s “not mad” to “everyone must die now.”

Aerin’s even started to drift off to sleep anytime Maggie’s screaming like a psycho in another room.

Odd times.

Potty training of the two year old is not going particularly great. Maggie seems to not quite connect stomach hurting to probably need to poop. No way to tell on the pee side what she’s thinking yet.
