Does The Rabbit Who Wants To Fall Asleep work?

The Rabbit Who Wants To Fall Asleep: A New Way Of Getting Children To SleepYes. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t download the book or a¬†reading for free. Quit reading and try it. It’ll work or it won’t and neither will cost you a dime. Here’s my “The Rabbit Who Wants To Fall Asleep” story:

It was a bad day all around, I got in to pick Maggie up pretty late at daycare due to a crash on 440 in Nashville. I should have been there 4:30, I got there 5:30, Maggie was not pleased.

Things took a nosedive when she decided to hit me while screaming No! in the bathtub. This led to termination of bathtime fun and the drying of a ticked off toddler which left to her being let stand in her room to calm down. It was a “no” meltdown in case you’re wondering.

Things started looking up, and we played at full tilt near her bedtime because, dang, it’d been a sucky night thus far. Basically at bedtime plus 10 or so we were engaged in a wild tickle fight, throwing toys around, etc, due to crappy feelings earlier.

She’d also downed a lot of sugar, ketchup, was fueled by hot dogs and tickles and it was 7:40. Kim asked me to play the audiobook (well, someone on YouTube reading the story,) and five minutes later Maggie was struggling to stay awake. At eight minutes we transitioned her to her bed, and by fifteen when I looked she was out.

I cannot stress just how boring and hypnotic this story is. It’s not particularly good, or at least I was so struggling to ignore it that I didn’t grasp the goodness. It’s just boring in a can wrapped up with a yawn and damn baby was out. Thinking about what I heard I’m exhausted.

Anyway, get it free, worked on my 2 year old and I think almost knocked Kim out. I’ve got instructions on how to read the story to your kiddos on any device, getting it free directly from the author, and grabbing a reading of it on YouTube.

Probably will slap in a section on how to grab just the audio and put it in a nighttime playlist if it works again.

Update: Time #3,4 she was too pissed off to hear the story. 5 & 6 both involved a nighttime wake up, about 10 minutes of rocking and the story before she went back to sleep
