We picked up some Nuby Clik it No Spill Cups in a four-pack at Sam’s Club the other day (don’t laugh, I got a year for $3 and it’s just a couple of miles away from the house,) and while they were different than the Nuby bottles we had, they were what was on the shelf and at $9 for four bottles it seemed like a decent price.
No. They’re complete garbage.
The idea is you turn until you hear a click and then you know you’re good. The two bottles out of the four that I did this to clicked, and then proceeded to pour milk directly out of the neck of the bottle.
The silicone nipple section was fine and dandy, just the neck leaked enough that it’s everywhere. And this is not just in drop conditions, this is any tilt conditions including a baby drinking it at a 45 degree angle.
Shaking the bottle resulted in a fine spray of milk mist everywhere. It’s sad too because the other Nuby products we have have held up great, the only reason we were replacing them was because daycare has snagged a couple, and Maggie managed to chew a hole in one of the nipples.
Pretty bad quality control is probably what the issue is as I can’t imagine they’d ship known bad crappy ass leakers… but they are.
Eh, I’d love to attempt to post a positive product review and make some commission money, but these are the worst product I’ve ever had other than Baby’s First Pacifier/Knife. So no product link here.
Anyway, word to the wise – their quality control is abysmal judging by the Amazon reviews I can find. Don’t buy these somewhere you can’t return them for free. They’re not up to the standards of the other products I’ve seen, and my bet is they’re done by a subcontracting company at the moment.
