I’m assuming much of this is due to teething, but the baby’s sleeping odd times and isn’t happy with much of anything, so yesterday rather than taking her to work with me and dealing with a cranky baby in the office, which I’ve had to deal with twice now, I rescheduled my work and took the baby on the town.
The day started with sushi, at which Maggie’s diaper failed and got Chris. She was pretty much an angel while she was there as she had people to watch and things to play with.
I forgot to bring the hiking poles I have, which meant I was going along at a pretty slow clip while hauling baby along. Also may be why my back is shot today, but my back sucks lately anyway.
Along the trail we ran into a deer and some squirrels.
Along the way Maggie decided that the excitement of being outdoors was too much to handle, so she slept most of the way and started snoring.
After we got home, it was time for eating squash and rooting a Chromecast, which Maggie was not very interested in.
A brief hand-turkey inspiring pumpkin art project later we had some baby rage against sleep, which eventually came and overpowered M until about one am.
And that was the day. There was a high chair involved in eating, a deer sighting, baby tacos, pumpkins, and pretty much most of what you could want as a baby for a day off.
