At work with a poocano

Baby MonsterToday me and Maggie made the trip into work in the pouring rain. It was coming down so hard roughly halfway through the trip that I would not have made the trip with a baby in those weather conditions.

It took nearly 40 minutes to make my normal 14 minute drive, Maggie seemed to appreciate the rain as it was coming down and watching the rear window wiper occasionally flip back and forth.

Work started as usual, everyone loving on the baby. Got most of the hands-on stuff I needed to get done done in ten minutes while Baby M was snoozing in a dark warm room.

A little while later we were watching the Chica Show on one monitor while I attempted to read up on Chrome bookmark syncing issues on the other, I was feeding the baby when I noticed her eyes were staring off into nowhere and a smell was starting to emerge. I stripped her down a bit, laid her in her crib to do a quick inspection and realized a full fledged bathroom or perhaps car wash was going to be in order for this particular poocano.

I believe after that particular diaper change, Maggie may be banned from the bathrooms here. I attempted with all my might to spray down the diaper and cover it in the trashcan with Lysol, paper towels, and anything else to contain the stink… we’ll see if the screams of the damned (I mean the AM radio station that works here,) erupt anytime soon.

She’s decided she wants to lay around and stare at a wall today, so she’s in the baby cage looking at nothing and perhaps loading another stink bomb on deck. I’ve decided.

For some reason the cleaning lady here at work has, for the past eight years, neglected to put a trash bag in my garbage can. I have a feeling she’ll start if I start leaving the dirty diapers in there… eh

Nothing to report at the moment, Baby M is playing with her toes and I’m working on sync issues.
