Infantino Square Twist and Fold Activity Gym review

the Infantino Square Twist and Fold Activity Gym Baby Fight PitThe exact model of the Infantino Square Twist and Fold Activity Gym I have doesn’t seem to exist for online ordering anywhere I can locate, so I’ll preface this review with I have the sickly pink version of this baby fight pit, but other than that it’s the same.

Infantino Square Twist and Fold Activity Gym purpose

The idea behind this baby fight pit is to throw your infant into a world of hurt, that or to lay them on their back and gradually encourage them to roll over on the soft padded mat.

It comes with four stuffed animals on rings that can be placed high or low, and a no-break mirror that generally will always provide a squished funhouse look to anything they see.

The twist and fold aspect allows the thing to be set up in about five seconds, and taken down in about fourty eight minutes as you curse wildly that it doesn’t seem to want to go back like it just was a few minutes ago.

Failings

These may or may not apply to your situation. My fails may not be yours.

Mat is a little thin if you’re on a hardwood floor. I learned this when Baby M struggled as I was setting her down and I heard a sickening thunk. She was ok, but it made me realize the mat is only slightly thicker than a blanket

The mat is kind of small. I mean, so are babies, but if your baby can only roll one direction you’re going to have to factor that in when you lay them down on this thing. It has the space for a three-month-old to roll right or left but not both.

I can’t figure out a use for the pillow. It doesn’t seem to fit a baby anything like what it’s supposed to. This may just be my munchkin though.

Putting the thing back together is annoying. Not impossible, but it’s not as easy as taking it apart.

Overall

It’s a small activity mat that you transport. Your kid will probably like it. I have no complaints about this other than that the music star should never have been placed in it. Badly played “Twinkle Twinkle” on a crappy speaker is bad.
